Karuna in an ancient Pali language means compassion. We started off with Karuna as our core value. The service we provide, the values we follow and the lifestyle we practice, all revolve around having more compassion.

 

In April 2015, Nepal was hit with a massive earthquake that changed everything especially in the valley of Kathmandu. The Hotel property that sits right now is a complete replica of the original “red-mud and wooden” traditional Newari styled house which was severely  affected by the 2015 earthquake. We completely developed the architecture of Karuna Hotel Patan Kathmandu trying to replicate the architecture of its original structure.Restoring its previous house’s vibrance and old world ambience was our attempt to make this hotel’s architecture come to life.

 

An eco friendly boutique hotel, with a passion for spreading compassion with unwavering comfort and top notch service, in the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, this became Karuna Hotel Patan Kathmandu.
